Once upon a time, in a lush forest, lived Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow. They had built their cozy nest on a sturdy branch of a blackberry tree, and soon after, Mrs. Sparrow laid eggs. The couple was overjoyed, eagerly awaiting the day their little ones would hatch.

One sunny afternoon, a giant and boisterous Elephant wandered into their territory. With his playful yet reckless nature, he began tugging at the branches of the tree. The Sparrows watched in horror, their hearts racing.
“Oh, dear Elephant!” they pleaded, fluttering around him. “Please have mercy! This is our nest, where we’ve laid our precious eggs. If you break the branch, our dreams will be shattered!”
But the Elephant, caught up in his own fun, paid no heed to their cries. With one powerful yank, he snapped the branch, sending the eggs tumbling to the ground. The heart-wrenching sound of cracking shells echoed through the forest as Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow fell silent, their dreams crushed.
A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed
Seeing their sorrow, the Sparrows' friends gathered around to offer comfort. However, some were so enraged by the Elephant’s actions that they decided to take action. They turned to the brilliant mastermind of the jungle, a clever Frog, known for his strategic thinking.
After hearing the Sparrows’ plight, the Frog hatched a plan. He enlisted the help of Gnat, a tiny but annoying insect, and Woodpecker, a sharp-beaked bird. The plan was simple yet effective: Gnat would buzz in the Elephant’s ear to distract him, while Woodpecker would deliver the final blow.
The Plan Unfolds
The next day, the group set out to find the arrogant Elephant, who was lounging under a mango tree. “It’s time to put our plan into action!” declared the mastermind Frog.
As Gnat buzzed into the Elephant’s ear, the giant became increasingly irritated. His frustration grew, and in a fit of rage, he began to flail about, losing control. Seizing the opportunity, Woodpecker swooped in, pecking at the Elephant's eyes. The Elephant let out a terrible roar, blinded and in pain.
In his panic, he searched desperately for water, his throat parched from crying. Hearing the familiar sound of the Frog’s croak, he mistakenly believed he had found a water source. Following the sound, he stumbled toward a nearby ditch.
The Master Plan's Climax
The Frog, knowing the ditch was perilous, jumped into the water, leading the blind Elephant further astray. As the Elephant leaned down to drink, he lost his footing and tumbled into the ditch, meeting his end in the depths below.
With the Elephant gone, the forest erupted in cheers. The Sparrows and their friends celebrated their clever victory, dancing and singing under the canopy of trees.
Moral of the Story
The tale of the Sparrow and the Elephant reminds us that intelligence and teamwork can triumph over brute strength. It teaches us the importance of standing by our friends in their times of need and that compassion can lead to powerful outcomes.
